Thick, very dense off-white head, over cold-hazed orange-amber beer. Sweetish exotic fruit nose, but the thick dense head quickly dampens the aromas, so little aroma remains until after quite some time. Sweet-bitterish, with again lots of fruitesters. The finish is dry, almost chalk-y, and a bit earthy. Melon, passion fruit, citruspeel. Maybe a bit of iron in the head? Very balanced sweet-fruit-hoppy. Good carbonation, light hopoil slickness, lasting flavours. Another very good Mortselarij beer, balanced as few can aspire to achieve, and of course an indestructible head.

Huge, just yellowish head, dense & fine, extra-stable and leaving textbook lacerings over faintly veiled orange-golden, finely carbonated beer. Dry hops and dry pale malts. Dry taste, excellent quality malts with just the pinch of sweetness Kölsch needs. Yet a crisp, dry finish with a soupcon of hops, finally ending in dry-bitter aftertaste. Light gristslick, mild carbonation, bit mineral. Phenomenal! After DOK, the guys from Mortselarij succeed to make a Kölsch that is more Kölsch than most stuff sold in Köln. OK, I suppose Mühlen and Päffgen will be better in a comparison, but that's where it ends... Great!

Draught Huge, dense white head, leaving textbook lace over fully hazy chromate yellow beer. Inviting fresh green leaves' nose, lunaria, exotic fruit, unripe bananapeel, straw. Warming up, ureum. Dry bitter, again straw, but fading a bit fast. Some vague citrus, other (unripe) exotic fruit. Light MF, gristslick, not empty, even a bit chewy/oily. Another excellent, light IPA, full of taste. Super!

30/04/2020 bottled. 330 ml. bottle. Citrus golden, low haze, uneven soapy white head. Nose is pleasant lemony, citrus, low grainy starch & faint weeds but citrus dominates. Slightly lively carbonation. Rather strange taste, citrus yes but also some strange bitterness like something vaguely chemical, plastic peel, lingering bitter chemical, odd really if only it was bit less chemical and more fruity citrus, it seems like it was not too off but still, too bad but still promising from this new & for me very local brewery.
