Description
The Bullfinch Brewery was first set up in the kitchen of former travelling sound engineer, beer enthusiast and home brewer Ryan Mclean.
Ryan's travels have ignited a passion and love for great beer. His continuing commitment to the quality of beer and his enthusiasm have created Bullfinch Brewery and its contemporary take on craft beer here in the UK.
Ryan has been brewing professionally since 2014 and is making progressive beers that blend experimental ideas with traditional brewing methods and techniques.
Hidden away under a railway arch in South East London Ryan can be found brewing his modern ideas on a much loved and used, historic 5 Barrel kit originally built by Charles Wells.

Keg at Bullfinch Brewery, Herne Hill Saturday 3rd December 2016 whilst on a Brixton and Brockwell Park walk from the London Hidden Walks Book vol 2 Pours amber with a white head there is a slight chill haze. Not sure what the hops are but they are very perfumey, really fresh and clean. The beer is very good very easy drinking for the abv, soft carbonation, a little perfumey floral bitter bite and rub. Good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Keg at Bullfinch Brewery, Herne Hill Saturday 3rd December 2016 whilst on a Brixton and Brockwell Park walk from the London Hidden Walks Book vol 2 Pours very dark brown edging towards black with a light beige head. Good punchy hops really give the roastiness something to think about. Another beer that drinks very well considering its 7%, a bitter citrus fruitiness throughout. It’s good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

Keg at Bullfinch Brewery, Herne Hill Saturday 3rd December 2016 whilst on a Brixton and Brockwell Park walk from the London Hidden Walks Book vol 2 Saison yeast really prominent on the nose, a little sweet shop confectionery sweetness to this. Light gold with a slim white head. Fruity but perhaps a touch sweet a bit of toffee banana. Ok. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Pours a pitch black color, topped witha medium sized beige head, pretty lasting and creamy. Mild sweet fruity notes with some gentle chocolate back and slight roast in the nose. Chocolate sweetness upfront, short and gentle, later taken over by moderate hoppy bitterness. Fairly lasting bittery aftertaste. Medium body. Very nice.
