Description
Commenced brewing in early 2012 at Garthorpe Rd, Luddington. Moved in 2013 to 7 Lakes Country Park, Crowle. Closed in 2016. Re-opened later in 2016 after investment from Lincoln based beer enthusiasts. Opened a sister brewery Docks in Grimsby in 2018 then moved production of Axholme to there.

Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2019. A murky chestnut brown coloured pour with a halo of dirty head. Aroma is earthy nutty malts, flabby cakey malts, dirt, twigs, pine. Flavour is composed of grainy, dirty straw, grass, earthy nuts. Stale brown bread. Palate is still, no condition, oily and flabby. Dumper.

Bottle 500ml. @ [ Højbjerg Tasting ] - Saxo House, Højbjerg - Aarhus, Denmark.[ As Axholme Magnitude 3.9 ].Clear medium amber yellow colour with a small, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, hay, caramel, sweet malt, light nutty. Flavor is light moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, caramel, hay, light nutty. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190419] 5-3-5-3-11

Light creamy mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy arome. Moderate bitter sligtly caramellyc flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle @Højbjerg Tasting. Clear amber, small white head. Malty, woody aroma. Watery, malty and spicy flavour. Rough bitterness.

1/4/2019. Bottle from Message In A Bottle, Cleethorpes. Pours pale amber with a small lasting off-white head. Aroma of toffee, malt, hops, fruit, oak, dried fruit and fruit cake. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body sticky texture, soft carbonation. Warming, alcohol finish. Very drinkable and easily the bext I've had from Axholme so far.

8/3/2019. Bottle from Message In A Bottle, Cleethorpes. Pours golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of hops, fruit, flowers, hay and butter. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Grainy finish with increasing sweetness. Ok.
