500ml bottle from Message In A Bottle, Cleethorpes: BBD 19 Jan 2017. Poured into a UK pint sleeve glass at home on 6 Mar 2016. No sediment left the bottle, so I got a clear light golden bodied beer with a full and lasting white crown on top. Mild citrus aroma and taste: Sea Backthorn Berries are used in the brew, not sure what they are or what they taste of, but they are supposed to be healthy and good for you. OK to decent.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo webshop, consumed at home Thursday 11th February 2016 Hazy amber colour, a bit grubby looking, an off-white head sits atop. Loz gets Pear drops on the nose, I cannot say that I do. A little chewy in the mouth, fruity with a little tart fruit skin. Some of the flavour is reminiscent of a more traditional style but it’s good. Some sweet muddy citrus flavours (sweet orange) soggy bread, Pear drops (just a touch) good beer. A7 A3 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Bottle from the real ale store, Newark. And 4% Hazy Amber colour with a white head. Aroma is herb and veg with a citrus fruity finish. I guess it’s the nettle but such a rounded beer. Taste is bittersweet with a light sweet finish. Great delicate beer.

Bottle at the second 42nd Floor Tasting. Cheers to Kenny. It pours cloudy deep brown with a thick light beige head. The nose is toasty, bitter-sweet, dark fruits, candy, sweet beetroot and blackcurrant. The taste is earthy, toasty, slightly watery, dark fruits, blackcurrant and throat lozenges. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting, but quite watery actually. I am not convinced.

Bottle shared during the London Bimble - many thanks to Scopey. Pours hazy gold with a frothy, white head. Dirty hay in the nose, some grain, lemon rind. Light sweet flavor with bitter herbs, grass, husky grains. Light in body with fine carbonation. Aggressively bitter on the finish, with notes of grass, wood, hay and further citrus rind. Not great.

Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, dry and fairly crisp. Dry malts. Dry and fairly bitter floralness. Touch of orangey fruits. A bare whisper of rhubarb. Dry finish. Dry, bitter and almost rhubarb free. Meh!

Tower 42 Tasting 2. Hazy dark red - brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Mellow dark malts, touches of roast bitterness and dark chocolate. Mild floralness in to floral bitterness. Touch of something earthy spicy. Dry finish. A bit of a disappointment really. Beetroot hardly there.
