leuk etiket, schenkt zwart met fijne plakkerige schuimige bruine kraag. aroma van mouten, zoet, chocolade, gebrande en geroosterde mouten, veel mout, melkchocolade, tarwe, smooth, vanille, spekjes, koffie, cacao en suiker.... smaken zijn matig zoet, redelijk bitter, zeer sterk, sterk gemout (geroosterd en gebrand), laurier, droppig, chocolade, redelijk boventallige koffiebitter, laurier/den, medium body, romig en glad, lager bittere afdronk, wat bitterder en scherper dat het aroma doet vermoeden.

Bottle. Pours black with a earthy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of dry roasted malts with a sweet dark grain backbone. Flavor has a combination of musty roasted malts and dark grains with a dry finish.

At Maakun’s. Another bottle o’ joy. Hazy amber, white head. Rusty, lactic acid, yeasty, hoppy, grapes, passion fruit, nettles, oats, grilled onions. Taste is over moderate bitter on fruity sweet backbone. Body is medium texture is frothy, grainy and fat. Nice beer!

Bottle shared at home. Hazy Amber with big off white head. Grassy hops with some flowers and lime, milk, light brown bread and caramel, light French herbs, spring onions, light roasted malts. Nice mix between herbal, grassy and citrus hops. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied.

Hazy reddish amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate starts smooth but tails with nippy fine carbonation. Thin malts bring mild cream and a bitterish toffee. A little ripe fruit and mildly bitter pine. Light finish. Not really shouting it’s IPA credentials but fine.

33cl bottle. Bbe 2019/09. Pours black with a thin brown head. Roasted malt, ashy notes, licorice and some strange surypy sweet notes. Flavor has sweetness, licorice, citrusy hops, milk chocolate and pleasant candy sweetness. Something here I really like, can’t really say what it is. Smooth mouthfeel. Long finish, lingering toffee candy notes. Side notes: listening to Swallow the Sun - Songs from the North while drinking this. A nice stout that pairs well with what I consider to be the album of the year.
