Bottle shared on the 42nd floor - many thanks to Kenny. Pours deep brown with a frothy tan head. Interesting aroma, some cocoa, maybe licorice, earth. Light to medium sweet flavor, dry and earth, leathery, with dried berries, wax, coco. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Oily finish with some bitter chocolate, earth, pine. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to Kenny at level 42. It pours black with a medium light tan head. The nose is bitter - sweet, floral, perfumed, parma violets, earthy, dark fruits and jam. The taste is bitter, a touch watery, earthy roast, coffee grounds, cheap brown bread and malt loaf with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and average carbonation, a touch burnt after a while. Meh.

(bottle, 33cl) Almost black coloured hue with a beige and short foamy head. Mildly leathery dark malty aroma with subtle berry-fruity notes and a tinge of marzipan. Roasty bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Dark malt character with little roasty notes, leather, dark chocolate, berries and shades of liquorice; moderately dry, bitter-sweet dark malty and slightly fruity finish. Okay, but not overly impressive. 04.II.16

0,33l bottle at home. BB 23.02.2016. bottle says 6% ABV. almost black color, small coffee-colored head. smells of berries, light raspberries, light licorice, hints of exotic fruits, light mango, light coconut, some wood. wow, interesting smell. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes lightly roasted, berry notes again, rapsberries, a bit unclean, some coffee, light licorice again, light earthy, lightly peppery. finishes lightly dry and lightly roasted also a bit bitter with notes of raspberries and earthy notes. rather unique beer, there was a light uncleanliness on the taste at first, but after a while that disappeared. the raspberry notes are very nice, and rather interesting, I guess they could be related somehow that the beer is kinda old (close to bb date?). overall great beer.

Opaque black - brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and dry, decent fine carbonation. Light roast bitterness in the dark malts and a little cream. Dark malt tang. Thin dark chocolate. Floral bitterness. Light semi dry finish. Coulda shoulda been hoppier.

Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and finely crisp. Light pale malts, touch of sweetness. Modest hops, a little woody citrus. Dry and bitterish floralness. Light semi dry finish. Tastes old despite having 15 months grace on the BBE.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of grass and straw with some sweet grains supporting. Flavor combines grass and sweet grains with a good amount of straw underlying.
