A reddish brown beer with a beautiful big, clouding and blond head. The nose is nice, tropical and piney, mangos and fructose sweetness, hint of vegetables. Taste is medium bitter, then slightly milder when the sweetness starts to taste, some tropical fruits, pine needles. Medium bodied, high carbonation, more balanced after a while. Quite nice and succesfully Amber Ale with balanced sweetness, still more fruits and freshness would be needed.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons, Calais. Hazy brown amber with thin beige head. Sweet piney resiny hops on the aroma. Decent hoppy resiny piney flavour. Some bittterness on the finish, some toffee. Very drinkable.

Bottle, Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Amber pour with a meek white head. Nose of fruity hop and caramel. Quite lively carb. Earthy bitter flavour with some sweet malt and a vague metallic tang which lets it down a tad. Drinkable but no cigar.

Bottle from Luppolo L’Ottavo Nano, Palermo
Hazy deep blond color with small head. The mild malt aroma has some characteristic English hop and almost a touch of smoke. The mouthfeel is dry, a bit overly carbonated, with some dry caramel flavor, correct bitterness, some yeast.
Reasonably English Ale.

Draft @ Brassigaume ’13.

15 cl. draft @ Brassigaume 2013. Pours chestnut dark amber with a lightly tanned head. Nose is lots of grapefruit, pine, very hoppy, lovely coupled with lighter sweetness of cocoa, caramel & rosemary. Taste is pine & grapefruit hops with lots more earthly hops mixed cocoa, faint herbs (rosemary presumably but didn’t identify it), earthly, caramel malts taking over with some grounds and chocolate. Very creamy. Very interesting & above all very good and enjoyable. Clearly one of the best beers at the festival.

75 cl bottle @ lusikka. Batch 46/2013, BBE 20.05.2015
Fresh and fruity aroma with hops, some caramel, hints of gooseberry bush and nettles. Flavour has gooseberry bush, some bready malt and slight papery notes. Finishes with hops, gooseberry bush leaves and a vichy-like feeling. Foamy palate. Watery, but still good for this ABV.
