Bottle, Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy dark amber colour with a good sized white head. Piney hop, citrus and yeast notes showed up in the aroma. Flavour wise, sweet malts, earthy hop and notes of spice were evident. Dryish bitter finish. Somehow a bit rough around the edges, but overall a not too shabby IPA.

Bottle courtesy of sebletitje, the 33cl bottle pours clear copper with a tall light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a little pine hops, a little roasted malts and some mild sweet sugary maltiness. The taste begins with an initial mix of roasted malts, a touch of tart malt astringency and pine hop bitterness. To midway it gets a dash nutty and estery while the pine hops are joined by slivers of citrus. Overall this comes together pretty well. I’m enjoying this.

Bottle courtesy of sebletitje, thanks Sebastian! The 33cl bottle pours into my Tilquin Gueuze glass with a mildly opaque deep copper body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up grassy, resiny, spicy wood, muted pine sap like hops and thin rings of slightly roast to biscuit to sweet malts. The aroma isn’t that strong but what it offers up is full of resiny to harsh hoppiness. Of course the taste is similar with resiny hops, grassy hops, pine hops, spicy oak and some spicy black licorice. Behind the hops I get mild maltiness that’s a bit sweet and roasty. This is on the harsh bitter hoppy side. Decent enough.

Bottle at Bruce’s Birthday Bash, thanks to Colin. It pours near black with a small tan head. The nose is rich-roasted malt, dark fruit, faint coffee and chocolate. The taste is roasted malt, toast, saltiness, mild acidity, light liquorice, dark chocolate with a touch of alcohol with a toasty finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Decent stuff.

0.33l bottle @ Amarone. This is a deep dark brown - almost black one with a nice really, no make that everlasting medium sized brownish top. It smells really nice this! It's heavy dark and roasted with strong burned coffee, dry licorice, leather and something well-hopped. I'm impressed. It has a strong and perhaps a bit to heavy aggressive carbonation level with a soft light dry mouthfeel. The flavors is in symbioses with the aroma: roasted, dry with loads of cold strong coffee. Ends with a slightly burned roasty both finish and aftertaste. Lightdrinkable with a nice strong flavor profile. 11.01.2013

0.33l bottle @ Amarone. This is a cloudy deep orange one with a nice big light fluffy and definitely lasting off-white top. Lovely fresh fruity nose with loads of perfumy goodness. Oh, my this smells just fantastic! Did not expect this at all. It's spot on average on the carbonation with a light oily mouthfeel. Lot's of flavor in this little thing! It's really fresh and refreshingly hoppy with a slightly minerally touch. Fruity melon, strawberries and some sour-plum. Really sessionable, enjoyable and quenching. A surprise indeed. 11.01.2013
