orange, hazy, ultra-fast fading foam ( speedy gonzales style ) tastes sweet hopped ( american style i supose) witch is nice, but it has the same weirdness, harsh-drinkingness to it as the dark metal on caol yla had to me.. thanx eugene for sharing

Draft @ Brassigaume 2012. Apparently aged with Coal Ila woodchips – not Coal Ila poured into the beer as was clarified to me @ the stand – meaning this is totally rateable. Black with a bubbly mocha head, huge brief bubbles. Smells of chocolate, light herbs, perhaps touch of peat, some odd dark fruits. The whiskey adds a very weird plastic nature to this beer, odd stuff and def. too light for my preferences for the style, liquorice, anis, dark fruits, sweet chocolate, batteries, bitter plastic, light dissolve coffee touch. Bit too light bodied, softer carb. A weird one. 33 cl. bottle split with Kraddel – mainly gotten because he collect bottles with metal-themed labels, label is not bad with a satanic / goat type of thing going on, same as the regular one. Only distinction is a small piece of paper glued on the neck specifying that this is the special version. Slightly more watery, same liquorice, anis, herb type of thing – the peat is slightly more noticeable in this version, a bit more Islay than plastic this round.

Draft @ Brassigaume 2012. Light reddish amber with a tanned head. Smells of sweet herbs, syrup, caramel malts and dried fruits. Taste is lightly bitter with some cough syrup, herbs, spices, orange peel, touch sweet, light citrus, raisins and ark fruits. Medium bodied – okay / not bad stuff.

Draft @ Brassigaume 2012. My favourite beer of the festival. Hazy orange, bubbly white head. Smell is a sweet lovely concoction of caramel, sugar, syrup, prune jam, flowers, solid malt base, some very sweet strong liquor feel to it. Sweet caramel, malt base, light prune jam, sweet strong liquor, touch pine resin, tropical fruits, mango, creamy, caramel apples. Softer carb. light oozy body – lovely.

Tried 2* Cask @ Brassigaume 2012. Clear dark amber with an off-white head. Smell of rounded pine resin hops, orange peel, light exotic hops, lovely hoppy. Tastes of mellower sweeter pine rein hops, some caramel underneath, distinguishable malt base, grapefruit, orange peel, flowers. Cask body makes this stuff pretty drinkable, oily, softer carb. – very UK – lovely.

Draft @ Brassigaume 2012. Sympa.

Draft @ Brassigaume 2012. By far, one of the most outstanding Italian beers that day which does not diminish the overall quality of all the beers present at Brassigaume.
