Bottle. Very hoppy aroma, sweet. Black colour, brown head. The flavour is nice with a good teaishness, very hoppy, too. The aftertaste has a very short coffee burst. Good mouthfeel. The alcohol rises into my nose. A good beer, a bit much, espceially the hops.

Bottle. Orange color. Pumpkin aroma, with less of a spice aroma as other pumpkin beers I’ve had. Flavor is the same, with more subtle spice flavors, which I like.

Bottle. Nice and malty, bonbon, pepper aroma. Hazy red/brown colour. Small white head. The flavour has a good alcohol bite, but it is nicely balanced by the sweetness and some of the same notes as in aroma.

Almost black color with a thick brown shapable head. Very mild armoa, barely even noticable. Huge taste with a lot of hops and some elements of coffee and chocolate no doubt like most any other porter. But there is more. Leaves aftertaste just like the one left by dark chocolate. Leaves the palate tingling with flavor. Really good stuff over all.

(Bottle 65 cl) Slightly hazy reddish amber with a small, off-white head. Fat aroma of caramel and aroma hops. Solid and full-bodied with a lot of sweet caramel. Very distinct hoppiness. Interesting but fairly hoppy Barley Wine. 011206

(Bottle 65 cl) Pours completely black and opaque with a light brown head. Sweetish aroma of lightly burned malts. Very solid body with distinct sweetish and hard roasted malts with some vanilla accents. Some bitterness from the malts. 011206 and 070907

A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also hints of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty again with caramel being most dominant, but also the alcohol showing itself off with a slight burn.

2005 Bomber. Poured into small tulip glass. I was very hesitant to drink this wheat wine b/c the only one I had before was the Bells (which I didnt like much). However, this is a different story. Pours with no head and barely any lacing. Color is light orangish copper. Very dense beer, cannot see through it yet lots of translucence. Aroma is very present, very fruity, tropical. A hint of smokiness. No real presence of anything wheat related. Taste is similarly interesting, maybe here I pick up some wheat, kind of like a break from the monotony of a basic BW. Kind of adds some lightness to a heavy drink. Mouthfeel is nice as well. Despite the non existent head, there is some carbonation. Enough to offset the strong syrupy characteristics. Creating a nice full bodied beer with a nice efervescence to it. A strong bitterness but managable. Leaves a fruity aftertaste with a nicely present bitterness.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Black colour with a brief, beige head. Roasted nose with black coffee, wild berries (blueberries, crowberries) and notes of citrussy hops. Roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, the same wild berries, soy sauce, liquorice and hints of citrussy hops in the dry, fresh finish. In superb balance. Great taste despite the fairly low abv. A benchmark for porter brewers. In short, a masterpiece.

Pours deep amber into a snifter. Head quickly subsides to skim surface. Warm raisin and plum aromas. Lightly carbonated with spicy smoked nutmeg and lasting bitter finish.
