A reddish copper ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel with dark fruits, light smokey notes, dark fruits, very nice. In mouth, a nice whiskey like offering with light woody maple, dark fruits, light smokey notes, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at L’autre oeil.

Levures sauvages et pommes composent les premières effluves de l’olfactif, nous donnant les habituelles notes de cuir et de crin de cheval, tandis que les sucres de la pomme se posent en complément. Bel équilibre des deux éléments. Le visuel est doré / ambré, plutôt flou. La mousse est d’épaisseur moyenne, effervescente et fuyante. La pomme attaque rapidement la langue et explose en sucre de canne aux tons de miel et de cassonade, le tout, sur une base de terre et de vieille ferme. Bonne complexité. Effervescence assez vive. Assez de corpulence. Difficilement classable. Un mélange cidre et bière intéressant. C’est bon. Juste bon. Pas extraordinairement bon.

Canette de 473ml. Les premières effluves font sortir les épices dominées par la cannelle, puis la coriandre se met de la partie se mêlant au reste des céréales en sourdine. De couleur blanche, tirant sur le doré, la mousse est minuscule, effervescente et fuyante. En bouche une texture plus épaisse que la normale des blanches, et ce, probablement du aux céréales utilisées; nous donne un fruité d’oranges, de mangues, agrémenté d’une base de coriandre fraiche et d’un mélange judicieux de céréales. J’aime beaucoup cette texture plus épaisse qui lui donne énormément de corps. La gazéification pourrait être cependant plus accentuée. Une blanche délicieuse. BSG nous surprend encore avec l’utilisation de céréales non orthodoxes en brassage et qui plus est, réussit à concocter des produits hors du commun.

From a 75 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a murky brown with an off white head. Aroma of maple. Flavors of oak, vanilla and maple syrup. Sweet finish.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty brown color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light rum notes with some caramelized malt notes is pretty interesting. Taste is a nice mix of caramel malt with some rum notes, limited residual sugar with some oak notes and light tea flavours are also noticeable. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Quiet enjoyable beer and something that hopefully will be part of their regular portfolio.

Bottle: Poured a deep hazy dirty brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of grainy malt notes with light residual sugar note and dry caramel malt is OK. Taste is a mix of granny buckwheat notes with light residual sugar notes, some dry caramel and light toffee notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Interesting experience but needs to be a little bit richer and sweeter in my opinion

Bottle: Poured a dirty golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of Dry Brett notes with some cider and rum barrel notes also perceptible. Taste is a complex mix of cider with some dry Brett notes with some cider notes, light funk some grainy malt notes and light rum notes are also perceptible. Body is above average with good carbonation. Interesting beer but maybe a tad too many ingredient which creates a flavour clash.

Hazy golden color, medium head. Nice aroma, both funky and earthy, a bit of fruit. Soft mouthfeel, with light residual sweetness; the flavor is a bit shallow, not much malt, a light salty presence is a nice touch, and it has light acidity.
