Can. A dark brown beer, clear looking and topped by a small, beige head. Roasted nose with a little choclate and coffee. A bit one dimensional, but nice anyway. That goes for the flavor too, a bit one tracked, but pleasant. Roasted malts, some nuts and a coffee touch. Full-bodied, smooth and semi-dry. Lasting roasted finish. It’s not often I’m this pleased with a beer this one dimensional. 120623

Location: 12 oz can from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 6/13/12

Aroma: The nose has some wheat, grains, lemon notes, and light spice
Appearance: It pours a cloudy yellow color with a bright white head and light-mid lace
Flavor: The taste is averagely sweet, wheat, grains, and citrus, with minimal bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a solid, slightly creamy, clean feel, and a lightly spicy finish
Overall Impression: Overall, this one is a decent wheat ale. It was certainly better then I expected. Solid attempt by Tallgrass here.

Poured from can at SAVOR. This beer poured a yellow-orange color with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma was slightly sweet malts, touch of yeast, light fruit notes. Alcohol well masked, enjoyable enough.

16oz can courtesy of Brian. Hazy orange-gold, big frothy white head. Fresh mellow citrus hop aroma. Pretty well done APA, lots of hop character, and a respectable toasty golden malt backbone. Some chewy caramel and rye tones, earthy. Comes off a touch bigger than the ABV would suggest, pretty full bodied. Grapefruit, orange, rind, Good beer, nails the style.

The pour is mostly clear dark brown under a tall, sticky, off-white head that falls apart rather quickly. Soft cocoa powder and caramel malt aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet, no hop flavor. I expected a little more.

Pour is a bright hazy gold with a large white head. Aroma is a nice citrus hop with some sweet fruit. Flavor is a decent but low profile hop follow by a bigger malt presence. Finish is very dry and bitter. The first whif of the aroma is the best thing about this beer. Very tropical fruity.
