Can. Pours opaque brown-black with a large creamy brown head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is medium sweet roasted malts, molasses, coffee and chocolate. Finish is very lightly bitter. Semi-rich on the palate. Best beer I have had from a can in a while.

Can. Caramel, chocolate, dark fruit, and light hops aroma. Murky dark amber with a small beige head, thin loose lacing. Toasty, nutty, chocolate malt flavor. Medium body, lively carbonation. Nice malty beer.

Can. Chocolate covered raisin and malt aroma. Dark brown with nice tan head. Sweet chocolate and grainy barley malt flavor. Very good.

16 oz. can from a trade. (Thanks Tripplebrew) Shaker showed amber color with thin white head. Weak retention. Nose is herbal notes and grapefruit. Taste is NOT a hop bomb. More on the sweet side from the malt. And that’s what I like about it. Resin and grapefruit hops is balanced real nice with the caramel / toffee malts. Pine hops lingers slightly after the sip. If you are looking for a sweeter IPA and are not in the mood for 100 IBU, hop obnoxious brew, this is a nice option. Reminds me more of an English style IPA. Nice.

16 oz. can from a trade. (Thanks Tripplebrew) Used my Allagash chalice. Unfiltered gold color with plenty of soapy head from a slow, canted pour. Rings of lace as the glass emptied. Average carbonation. The aroma has Belgian yeast along with spicy kick. Flavor profile is mostly sweet, with a mild fruity flavor I didn’t notice in the smell. The finish shows that peppery, spicy kick I got from the aroma. Body is on the light side of medium. Mouthfeel is effervescent. Real drinkable for 8.5%. Really not excited about this. But not bad in anyway. Maybe better on draft?

Total Wine Fairfax: Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma is banana, coriander, spice, and a good amount of hops for a tripel. Taste is pretty strong for a tripel. This is not as easy drinking as some, but it is still pretty easy drinking. It has a dry and slightly bitter finish, moderate sweetness, and a reasonable complexity of flavor. I’m glad I brought this with me to a music festival.

Can. An unclear golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of lemons and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a dry finish.

12 fl oz can. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty and crisp hoppy. Smooth and lingering fruity. Bitter, crisp hoppy and light bitter into.a medium dry finish.

Can 1 pt. Courtesy of Steasy66. Pours a cloudy golden with a lacing white head. A little citrusy hops in the nose. Medium body, sweet malts and fruit with a dry and lightly citrusy hoppy finish. Decent if not really sophisticated. 140712
