Can shared by me at 5K/10K/4K. Pours cloudy gold. White head. Nose and taste of lemon zest, bready malt, honey and barley/oats. Medium body.

Can, big thanks to Wigman DW, split on split on the 300kph tasting on Train 9116 to Brussels, 26/04/13. Hazed pale amber with a mahoosive off white head. Nose carries hop notes, grass, orange pith, citrus, light sugars. Taste comprises hops, orange pith, citrus zest, light soap, touch of sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. An OK APA.

16oz can poured into a Big Eddy glass. Pours a thick golden color with a nice medium head. God retention and a nice lacing. This is super fresh and that is probably affecting the rating. I doubt it will smell this good in a month but if it did than that is awesome. The aroma is a great mix of bitter hops with light pine than some light orange hops and finally just a but of sweet hops. Flavor, again super fresh, has just a bit more bitterness but also more sweet hop juice. Long sweet hop aftertaste. Nice soft mouthfeel on the cheeks. Pretty awesome stuff. This isn’t even at the local stores.

Moving out of KS rate-a-poolza. 16oz can poured into a .25L Corsendonk goblet. No date but the store where I bought this fridges their beers. Dateline 20/20 rating
I am pretty much a fan boy for Tallgrass, I drink’em, I like’em, and I rate’em. However, I have put off rating this beer for a while. I definitely drank this when it first came out and I knew my opinion off the bat. This can supports my original opinion. I hate to hate but I cannot understand why this is the highest rated beer from this brewery. Its nothing but a mishmash of malt and hops, too much of both. Too sweet, overly biscuit malts with assertive hops. Eh, my least favorite mix in a beer. Its exactly what they were going for and exactly what I dislike. This rating is a generous homer score.

From a can. This is a solid session stout. Black of course and fairly well roasted malt. Light vanilla with the standard stout flavors. It is good but it could use more vanilla.

Can. Pours black with a dark yellowish brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a decent amount of roasted malt with a bit of bitter chocolate and underlying vanilla. Flavor starts with roasted malt but finish is smooth with chocolate and vanilla.

I have had this on tap now twice at Waldo Pizza. Both times I cannot tell much of a difference between this and the regular Buffalo Sweat. I guess it could be a bit sweeter smelling and have a mild vanilla character but I could just be making that up because I am biased. I will say it is nice to drink a vanilla beer that is subtle. I like the original and I like this, so either is good for me. A more detailed rating could be found with the regular version.

Super hazy, chunky orange coloured body with a bronze glow and a soapy-ish, one centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, a bit of a grassy hop note, some bubble gum and a definite citrus and lemon scent. Light-bodied; Sharp hoppy note at first with a pungent yeast flavour, some lighter wheat tastes and a good sweet bubble gum flavour. Aftertaste shows a hint of spice, a little sweetness and a good balance of wheat and hops, all staying very light and mild. Overall, a nice and refreshing, easy-to-drink beer that would be great in the summer. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 23-May-2012 for US$1.49 sampled at home in Washington on 12-February-2013.
