Description
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

Damn good white beer! nice touch of spice with a great alomst golden color. This brew is a little taste of belgium brewed right here in the u.s.a. of course not as good but as good as you are to find here in the states. Good price for a 6 pack is also a plus.

Pours a clear rusty orange with some yellow streaks. Large creamy white head that has some yellow tinges as well. Aroma of actual pumpkin, not so much spice. Some sweet malt aroma. Begins with a cinnamon pumpkin flavor that quickly is backed by a medium to light malt backbone. Has some light sugary tones and a good caramel flavor. Slightly airy and bubbly with lots of carbonation. Texture is actually quite smooth however. Low acidity and slight bitterness on the finish. A little bit of nutmeg and some astringency.

2003 Batch:
Perfect amber colour with a very thin and fast fading off-white head. Smells of sugar and malt. The sugar being caramely. Medium-bodied; Strong maltiness in the flavour as well as a subdued sweetness. Aftertaste fairly mild, but still showing a bit of the malt and opening up to some spicey flavours. Overall, a decent beer, a bit worse than average for a style that i'm already not fond of. I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York on 17-September-2003.

Draft. Strong banana, some clove. Not as smooth as the better Belgian Whites. Enjoyable, but mid-glass started taking on a less clean finish.

Hazy orange & gold colour with a 2 centimetre thick white head. Pretty nice looking, though! Smells of pepper, blueberry, yeast and citrus. Tastes of blueberry, wheqat, white pepper and a subtle hoppiness. Some maltiness in the palate with a bunch of spicyness. A fairly strong flavoured wheat with some odd tastes, but very interesting and unique. Good from Coor's as well, because it's probably one of their only few 'quality' beers. Overall a decent wheat...I don't think i'd consider it a white, but it wasn't great and it wasn't horrible. Worth a try, because most likely, it is available to you! I shared a pitcher of this with JonR888710 from draught at the Arlington Cinema 'N' Drafthouse in Arlington, Virginia.

Lingering alcohol presence, off-peachy (if that can be understood) though not altogether bad. Nice if there is no other beer to drink where you’re at (no other decent beer) though this beer leaves much to be desired, but it is a macro brew and coors is no abbey

A cloudy, citrusy macrobrew that is actually quite tasty and not clear as water! Refreshing and crisp, this is a good macro alternative to more expensive, albeit better, microbrews (Bells Oberon comes to mind). I could see myself picking this one up again.

golden, cloudy. surprisingly sweet. mild spices. Most certainly Coors best product, and probably the best product made by a major American brewer. This is better than many real Belgians.

Rerate 12/30/02: I have to say this is still a decent beer, and the orange slice is always nice to eat. It is also nice to see people in a bar drinking this more and more instead of BudMillerCoors. It is a good introductory beer into something different for your macro pals. However, it is still a pretty weak attempt at a Wit. 12/30/01 (4.0): Wow! Silky smooth flavor and a great aroma and aftertaste.
