T&R Theakston Ltd is an independent, family brewing company founded in 1827 located in the Yorkshire Dales market town of Masham, North Yorkshire. The company is controlled and run by direct family descendants of the founder Robert Theakston. Theakston is one of Britain’s oldest established family brewing companies.
In 1987 Theakston was taken over by Scottish & Newcastle, core beers being brewed at Tyne Brewery. In 2003 the Family bought the company back and moved all production back to Masham.

Cask handpull at Borefts 2025. Pale gold clear lasting white head. Some grassy hop. Some pale malt. Served a bit warm. Its OK. Regular blond ale. OK in mouth somw grassy hop light bitterness. OK condition fine.
