Draught at the brewpub. A new offer. Comes out cloudy nut brown, small head. Perfumy roasty nose. Sweetish, but dried out by good amounts of grassy hops. Rounded, vital malty bck bone and long salty bitter finish. Fresh and tasty!

Draught at the brewpub. Clear nut brown, small head. Lightly roasty nose. Sweetish with much cleaner mouthfeel than their zwickel. The flavours doesn’t come out as well as in the unfiltered version. Slight metallic flavour. The perfumy roastiness is here restrained, Even though the two spring from the same base beer the different is vast from a consumer’s point of view.

Bottle at London Drinker BF 07. Malty, bit of sickly vomit. Some cereal, bit vomitty, bit cereally and odd. In fact I think I left my tastebuds at home for this festival.

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a fluffy, off-white foamy head. A bit dusty, moderately sweet, minimal sour and roast-malty aroma with caramel and spicy hops in the background. Light-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Moderately roasted malty taste with caramel and milk chocolate; dry-ish, malty slightly bitter finish with a delicate blend of herbal hops and a rural barnyard note. Not that much different to the Vollbier, but a bit stronger and eventually a bit more roasty; very pleasant and quaffable, although I prefer the Vollbier which is better balanced from my point of view.
