Flasche von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Tiefes Kupferrot, klar. In der Nase dunkles Malz und Karamel. Im Antrunk kräftiges Röstmalz mit Brotkruste und Nuß, zarte Karamelsüße, ganz leichte fruchtig-herbe Note. Schlank, fast dünn in der Mitte. Abgang trocken und ausreichend bitter mit Noten von Heu (oder Moos?), pfeffrigem fränkischen Hopfen und Röstmalzbittere. - Sehr aromatisches Frankenlager, von kräftigem Röstmalz dominiert. Darf keinesfalls zu kühl getrunken werden.

Bouteille 50cl de Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. Cuivrée, col moyen blanc cassé. Arôme est malté sur un bouquet noisette farineux très léger, note grains-biscuité très légère avec un caramel très agréable. Palais est léger, malt, grillé et caramel dans un profil très allemand mais sans ce côté faux sucré caramel. Le tout est vraiment ponctué par un ajout biscuité, crystal, pâle très sympa se terminant sur un léger chocolaté. Les houblons restent plus discret.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Meister Vollbier Wanderer Blaue Nacht ].Clear medium amber yellow colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, pale malt, light caramel, earthy hops - malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, dry grass, earthy hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130628]

Bottle at a ChrisO Tasting - London. Pours lightly hazy amber with a mild, white film head. Bland aroma, some cereal. Light sweet flavor with darkened cereal grains, bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Bland finish, just some further cereal, faint toast. Not too good. I like lager and zwickel more specifically, but this beer just didn’t sing.
