25/1/2019. Cask at the 10th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear dark brown with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of coffee, boiled veg and sugars. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, watery texture, soft to flat carbonation. Very disappointing, from a generally higher quality brewer.

Bottle from Sir Toby's, Norwich. Black with a huge light tan head and rather a strong fizz for the style. Coffee and chocolate against a fruity background of blackcurrant and dates with a touch of fresh leafy hop. Smooth and full-bodied for the low abv. Mildly roasted finish that balances the semi-sweet beer well. Very nice porter, could maybe just reduce the fizz a tad.
