33 cl. bottle split with Kraddel. Obtained in a trade with tderoeck, cheers. Darker fox brown amber with a stick brown head. Nose is very hoppy, lots of sticky pine resin, caramel, sweet mushy apples, quite sweet despite the added on hoppiness, sweet very bitter sticky pine resin, quite a bit of bitter floral notes. Taste is heavy on the sticky strong bitter pine resin, sweet caramel goo, bitter herbal, sweet apples, sweet marmalade & lots of dried tangerine peel, dark citrus, dried peels, lightly sticky, full malt profile. Very fine brew.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Obtained in a trade with tderoeck, cheers. Black with a reasonable sized beige head, somewhat stable, some neat lacing. Smell is lots & lots of coffee grounds, burned coffee beans, roasted coffee, pure 100 % coffee, real coffee not beer coffee notes or whatever. Taste is sour (?), uneatable berries sour, sour malts, almost hint of vinegar, lots of sour berries with heavy burned coffee grounds & beans in the back, grounded coffee, quite bitter coffee grounds, burned. Bit thinned out by the sourness? with grounds in it. Is this intentionally like this? Was this intended to be sour? A good sour porter whether intentional or not, with age if this gets further sour, might destroy the balance between the extremes.

33cl Bottle from skortila, cheers Jos! Black coour, thin off-white to beige head. Aroma of full-on fat coffee, lots of bitter roast leaning towards sour, light fruity. Flavour is light-medium sweet, hard roasted malts, sweet brown malts, light caramel, loads of coffee but not the old and used stuff you have so often in coffee stouts/porters, smooth coffee and light hoppy bitter finish, light fruits and minerals. Light to medium-bodied, smooth mouthfeel, oily. I generally don’t like coffee beers, but this is a positive exception.

Bottle at home. Pours slightly hazy brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is hugely hoppy with grass, floral qualities, perfume and citrus, along with some caramel malt. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. Mouthfeel is slightly oily with a warm alcohol finish. Medium bodied with light prickly carbonation.
