(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Amber colour with huge, off-white head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, malty nose with caramel, toffee, orange peel, apricots, candy sugar and floral hops. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange peel, apricots, caramel, treacle toffee and a generous citrussy bitterness in a fairly dry finish. More than medium body, with balanced sweetness. Nice and solid IPA.

33cl bottle. Black colour with a frothy and large tan head, high carbonation, perfect lasting. Aroma is toasty, roasty, spicy, coffee and cocoa hints. Flavor is light sweet, dark coffee notes, slighly licorice and caramel, bittery notes in the palate. The aftertaste is strong coffee notes, bitterness and with a good duration. Carbonation is high. Body is medium to high.

0.33l bottle from trade with MrHangover. Thanks man! A quite over-filled bottle that pours a deep brown body with a over-gigantic layering and lacing chocolate-colored fluffy head. Takes quite a while for it to calm down as well, but when it has, I get a good dash of chocolate, roasted malts and some ice cream in the aroma. Also tones of some green apples, nail polish remover, wood and a little bit of wet cardboard. The flavor is at first a bit yeasty with more green apples, but then it switches over in to this roasted and bitter killing machine! Heavy heavy roasted with a really big bitterness, I also get black chocolate with a suiting warming almost nail polish boozy finish before the chocolate malty aftertaste takes over. At first I feared this might be a bad bottle or something, but it quickly redeemed itself for being a fine imp stout. 07.07.2012

0.33l bottle from trade with MrHangover. A enormous head immediately appears when pouring this into my glass. The body is cloudy and dark honey-colored and the head - that just sticks around forever, is just off-white and really fluffy. It smells mainly fruity and mild hoppy, but there is also tones of sweet caramel and malts. A non extreme, but quite nice aroma. It's average to lively carbonated and it has a dry oily texture in the mouth. Dry in flavor also with a good amount of hops. I quite quickly get a clear alcohol tone that they have in no way managed to hide. Continues mild almost soapy with a nice present American bitterness all the way. A nice one! 07.07.2012

Bottle from De Molen Brewery Shop, Bodegraven, Holland, consumed inside Frank (camper) at Camping Het Rieven, Landsmeer, Nr Amsterdam, Tuesday 2nd October 2012 Pours hazy gold with large bubbly white head. This is yet another great beer from Rooie Dop. Nice bittersweet balance, American hops shining well here with this great IPA, lovely sweet citrus flavours but there is a good bitterness underpinning this. Soft mouthfeel, busy carbonation, good fruity tang. Another very nice beer, most enjoyable. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7
