On tap @ ‘t Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Pours black, with a finger thick airy head. Aroma is burned malts, coffee, candi sugar and dark syrup. Body is slightly oily, with soft carbonation. Flavour is coffee and liquorice, which gives a long sweet-ish burned finish.

33 cl bottle, courtesy of my wife. Pours hazy orange with a huge off white head. Aroma is mango, peachy and light grapefruity hoppy. Smooth fruity, bone dry and mellow light yeasty. Lingering fruity and dry bitter finish.

330ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with really huge firm frothy white head. Flat bitter hop aroma. Taste is initially biting, tart and bitter hoppy, not really citrussy, milder middle part, slightly unusual "frothy" bitter hoppy finish. Not an interpretation of the IPA-style I conform to.

On tap @ Utrechts Brouwers Festival (after a long, hot queue). Orange color, hazy. Big, off white, rocky head. Aroma’s: grain, grassy hops, some caramel retronasal. Flavor is lightly (caramel) sweet and lightly bitter. Medium bodied. Smooth, fairly soft carb. Finishes medium bitter, quite mild. Nice, thirst-quenching on this hot day.

Gusher. Amber colour, off-white head, big airy bubbles. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, honey, more than ripe apple, caramel, quite fruity and sweet. Light metallic. Sweet bitter flavour, quite malty, not so dominant on the hops as I expected. Quite mineral. Finish sweet malty, the bitterness comes up more towards the end.
Nice brew, well balanced, but for an IPA it could be a bit more outspoken on the hops. Still, nicely done, guys! Good luck and I’m looking forward to tasting your other brews.

33cl bottle pours clear copper with tall semi loose off white head. The aroma seems a little dusty with light amounts of various noble hops seeming sort of spicy and floral but I also get a bit of fruitiness like mango. The taste is a bit prickly due to a modest amount of over carbonation. I get notes of spicy hops, some floral hops and then a bit of citrus hops being pushed up pretty hard by the carbonation. To midway and into the finish I get a bit of pine as well as a touch of roasted malts coming to the surface. These various notes just don’t come together all that well.

33cl bottle. Pours opaque black with a nice fawn creamy head. The nose has smoke and blackcurrant, then some creaminess in the background. The taste has more berry fruit, some dark chocolate, some cream and a little alcohol and liquorice on the end. The palate has a large structure, a big creamy middle texture and a fairly elegant finish, though the alcohol level is just a bit too evident for my liking. All the same, decent beer.

33cl bottle. This was full to the cap almost. It poured cloudy orange with an enormous head. The nose has grapefruit pith and grapefruit. The taste has more of the same. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a sharp clean finish. Overall, another pretty good IPA though a bit too bitter to be balanced.
