Bottle at RBESG Grand Tasting, held at Dean Swift. Black with a huge explosive head. Berry, wood, and fruit nose. Flavor is chocolate and sour berry. Light and airy and fizzy.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity, dark malty and roasted. Solid carbonated. Light smoked and dark malty. Light breadish and roasted into a dry malty finish.

500ml bottle. Pours jet black with a large head. Aroma is blackcurrant, cough medicine and whiskey notes underneath. Taste is full of iodine, lots of blackcurrant on the finish and aftertaste. Full in the mouth, but not too thick. Hides the booze. Lovely beer.

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, light wood, spicy - cinnamon - nutmeg, flowers - perfume notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, dry, tobacco, fruity, spicy, light smoked, licorice notes. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate hoppy, hop juice, moderate yeasty, phenol, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, yeasty and unclean, phenol. Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen on 25th May 2011. Clear amber-gold with part lacing off white foam. Zesty and fruity initial aroma; rich developing hoppiness in the liquid - floral herby and grassy with notes of peach and grapefruit. Very satisfying.

Cask@Cask Pub And Kitchen, London. Deep amber colour, small head. Aroma is sweet malts, mild notes o fruits and some wood. Flavour is fruits, wood, mild syrup, some alcohol as well as sweet malts. Quite bitter, and mouthdrying.
