Innis & Gunn was contract brewed in Glasgow at Tennent's Wellpark Brewery since 2014. On 15 November 2018 Tennent's announced the brewing contract will be terminated with effect from September 2020. Innis & Gunn responded the following day by saying they plan on opening their own brewery.
The Innis & Gunn Brewery in Perth is our home for innovation and barrel-ageing. With plans to build a new large scale brewery in our hometown of Edinburgh, it will be the first new large brewery to be built in the capital in 150 years.

330mL bottle - pours golden with a minimal white head. Aroma vanilla, oak and butterscotch. Flavour is a weak combination of these. Slight bitterness at the end. Quite dull / boring for all that's in it. Drinkable, but nothing special.

8th April 2008 Clear blond beer that quickly blooms in it’s sweetish vanilla oak flavours. Why am I the only Innis & Gunn fan in the world?

Bottled. A chestnut colored beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has strong notes of peet smoked malt and whiskey. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, wood, whiskey, peet smoked malt, roasted malt, and caramel, leading to a dry woody finish.

The flavor is very sweet, with hints of caramel, honey, vanilla and a little malt. To sweet for my taste, also a little thin. Must say that I quickly "got tired" of the beer.

i think ill just agree with the last posting, very interesting beer, had it after having a very bitter stout so at first the taste was very welcoming malty, but then by the finish i had had enough, lots of honey and vanilla tastes, too sweet for me.

Light amber color, a tint of orange. Clear. Very nice, foamy, fine head. Very fragrant of malt, toffee, vanilla, a touch of hops, and oak. Very malty flavor, quite a bit sweet, lots of oak flavor, along with tons of toffee and some vanilla. Very smooth, a whiskey-like flavor and finish. Not a whole lot of hopping. Creamy, slightly lactic, a bit like an oaked chardonnay. A very interesting beer, and I do like it a lot, but it is a bit too lacking in balance for me. I could not drink a lot. It needs more hops, more bitter and sour to balance the richness.
