Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a tan head and a deep brown body. Aroma is quite nice with alcohol, tar, caramel, chocolate, rye, vanilla bourbon and fruit esters. Taste is sweet and boozy with chocolate and a whole lot of things going on. Medium carbonation. Not as much of a mess as twelve, pretty good actually.

courtesy of retorp Pours dark brown, off-white head. Aroma is malty, light caramel nose, brown sugar and roast with some hints of hops. Flavor, abv is definitely present though not overpowering, still keeps a nice hoppy bouquet even two years later. Balanced with a nice malty palate, hitns of dark fruits, grapefruit and sweetness.

Bottle: Poured a deep dark chocolate brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma was toasted malts and hints of dark fruit along with bakers chocolate. Taste is steep roasted malt with a hint of chocolate. Just enough alcohol in the finish to make this stand up to the tongue.

Bottle as shown. Pours a very dark brown with a small creamy tan head that diminishes quickly leaving decent spotty lacing. The aroma is a strong alcohol and roasted malt and chocolate. Thin mouthfeel with a burnt caramel with chocolate and alcohol very present but not too overpowering. A very good American strong ale.
