Medium brown. No real head. The nose is fairly chocolatey, a bit fudgey. Pretty straightforward chocolatey character. The sweetness comes out as it warms.

Beigy-amber with a thin head. Complex aroma with orangey hops, dusty yeast, dried spices and some diacetyl. Drinks fairly smooth for its size. Moderate bitterness. Not as boozy as I’d expect. Surprised that after that aroma the palate is as bland as it is.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with an off-white head and a hazy amber body. Aroma is nutty with fruits, berries and a lot of faded citrus hops. Taste is bitter, grapefruit hops, fruity and finishes bitter. Light carbonation and a water like mouthfeel.

Shaker pour at 4th Ave Pub, I basically went here just to try this. Its a completely black color with a small, fast fading head. Aroma is coffee, strong, so damn strong that it is coming off as jalapeño, fortunately I like that. Taste is just straight coffee with light cola-like stout at the end. It has lots of roast and the coffee hides all of the great aspects of the base beer. Still some jalapeño coming off this. Its alright but its just too basic for a coffee beer.

Color is hazy golden with a sticky head and visible carbonation. Aroma is sweet-sweet Belgian candi with herbal yeastiness. Pretty strong, sweet aroma. Taste is similar but just not as strong. I like it though, rather authentic but a bit too sweet (as seems to be the norm with most American triples). Maredsous glass @ Great Bar Henry.

Bottle. 100cl. Bottle #120 of 250. [Tasting @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen]. Unclear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, vintage, flowers, cask wood, oak, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long to average duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is flat. Very nice. (110308)

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of over ripe fruits and alcohol. The flavor is sweet mlaty with strong notes of alcohol, but also light fruity notes. Thanks Maria for sharing.

(Bottle 100 cl) Courtesy of Maria. Bottle # 120/250. Hazy, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, wood and overripe fruit. Quite full-bodied with sweetish, burned caramel and a little wood. Very boozy finish - almost whisky-like - with a solid hop bitterness. 110308
