Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours a clear mahogany with small beige head, some retention. Aroma of rye, red berries, sweetness, toasted malt. Taste of rye, toastiness, dark fruits, toffee, citrus zest. Needs more bitterness in the finish although tasty.. Light to medium bodied, fairly smooth, soft carbonation. Nice.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a clear amber with small white head which fades to nothing very quickly. Aroma has an inviting malt nose with caramel, toast, grassy hops. Taste of light burnt caramel, bread, raisins, grassy hop bitterness which builds. Light bodied, refreshing, sweet finish to offset bitterness. Yes well balanced, decent malt profile, nice bitter kick, just a shame it doesn't very good in the glass. A good light bitter though.

Cask at Briar Rose, Birmingham. Clear amber, good tight creamy off white head. Little aroma, some caramel malts. Taste is quite bready and biscuity with a pear and raisin fruitiness. Nice smoothness. It's ok, a bit basic flavour wise.
