Description
We first started Carnival in a kitchen in Liverpool after a fundraising event at the Clearview Carnival, 2017. It is where we met and started the journey of Carnival Brewing Company over a love of music and beer. Now here we are, developing our very own fundraiser for the future endeavours of Carnival.

Can from Oddbins. Murky bronze body with a small off-white head that fades. No visible carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of mango, orange and grapefruit. Flavour of freshly squeezed orange juice, mint and lemon. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Raw and juicy. Decent.

Cask at Brewery Tap, Chester. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Floral hops to the fore in the aroma, along with some hints of summer fruits. In the mouth it fluctuates between sweet and bitter though not to either extreme, and has an underlying sharpness. Hops are the mainstay of the flavour, along with tangerine, and hints of orange, grapefruit and gooseberry. Finish has a little sweetness. It’s reasonable, but not really my cup of tea.

Hand-pulled, half-pint at the Boot Micropub in Wellington, Shropshire on 18th November 2022. Cloudy orange body, white crown. Simcoe hops doing their stuff: Both piney and citrusy esters and flavours dominate the brew. They have obviously used rather a lot of them in the kettle.
