Pours amber with a light, white head. Pleasnet hops in the aroma. Floral, citrus, with some herbal notes. Light malts, also. Flavor is similar to the aroma finishing nicely bitter. Crisp, lightly dry body. Very well made APA, I’d love to have mroe.

Cask at GBBF 08. Attractive clear chestnut colour with a thin beige head. It’s a bit like a strong brown ale. A bit syrupy maybe, and just a bit uncultured.

Bottle courtesy of thecheeseman. Pours black with tan head. Sour aroma with vanilla, oak and smoke. Flavors of oak, smoke, vanilla and funky sourness. The aging in the wine barrel really adds a nice touch of wine to the taste. Very nice.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 5 Aug 2008) Amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with distinct notes of citrus and pine needles. Fruity, hoppy taste with lemon, grapefruit, pine needles and resin. Distinct hoppy finish. Goes very much in one direction, but for me it’s the right one. Very nice beer.

Cask@GBBF2008. Ambery red colour with small head. aroma is caramel, wood and some mild earthy and hoppy notes. Flavour is the same with a lot of sour fruits kicking in. Mild syrupy notes too.

Bottle. Mahogony beer with a tan head. Malt, light oak, light smoke aroma. Tart wine flavor with light malt. Medium body. The tartness and wine linger with light smoke and good malt. Tries hard.

Stark alkohlisch-prickelnder Antrunk, hell-malzig, sehr hopfig, dezent fruchtig nach Äpfeln, was in dem Chaos aber untergeht. Der Grundton des Bieres bleibt erhalten, der Hopfen schwindet, im Gegenzug wird das Bier cremig-malzig, es wirkt zu kräftig, unbalanciert. Im Abgang brennend, das Bier hat hier etwas von klarem Schnaps. Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: -,9,8,10,12,9 - 9,16
