A hazed blonde saison with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with light grassy hops, light banana esters, light cereal notes, OK. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with light cereal and mineral notes, faint esters, light cloves, OK. Bottle from IGA in Montréal Nord, Bb 2016/04/05.

Bouteille 500 ml. olfactif avec effluves de chocolat noir, de moka et de café torréfié a souhait. Son alcool bien senti enrobe quelques notes de cerises et de caramel. Le visuel présente une épaisse mousse brune spongieuse recouvrant un liquide noir et opaque. L’entrée de bouche se passe surtout dans les notes de caramel, de chocolat au lait et se décline en finale, en un mélange intense de torréfaction et d’alcool. L’alcool est fort. Peut-être un peu trop prononcé. Nuisant à l’expression des autres saveurs. On sent la complexité sous-jacente des notes de caramel, de fudge, de moka, de réglisse, noyées dans un alcool tenace et agressant. Dommage, ça aurait pu être une excellente stout. Pardonnez-moi SIR.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark copper color ale with a medium off-white foamy head with light retention and not much lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized sugar notes with some light oak notes clearly identifiable. Taste is a mix of dry caramelized sugar notes with some acidic notes form the oak with light tart cherry notes also noticeable. Body is light for style with medium carbonation. Too much oak which brings on too much acidity.

Bottle - Dark boozy chocolate and cocoa. Jet dark brown and black with a rich beige head. Dark and roasty with some dark fruity notes.
