Bottle: Poured a light yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light green grassy hops notes is not as powerful as I would have expected. Taste is also dominated by green hoppy notes with light citrus undertones and a lightly sweet malt backbone. Body is light with great carbonation. I was expecting a bit more of a leafy hops profile considering this is an harvest ale.

Pours a hazy amber-red colour with a big frothy beige head that lasts a while leaving some good creamy lacing. Nutty aromas with the malts that give out dark fruits, butterscotch and mild spices. The taste is sweet, but well-balanced with notes of anise, roasted malts, the dark fruits and light alcohol. A pretty good darker beer that has a nice warming for the winter.

Pours a clean, deep amber colour with a big creamy beige head, great retention and lots of dirty lacing. Aromas of apples over the caramel malt base and with a touch of grass in the background. In the taste, the hops seem to take the lead over the maltiness, giving this brew a decent dryness the whole time. The malts are fruity. Not sure this represent the style very well, but a decent brew. More flavours than their Trait-Carré, better balanced overall.

First beer from this newest brewery. Pours a cloudy golden-amber colour with a beautiful creamy head that lasts a long time and gives out good lacing. Lots of particles floating all-around. Mostly apples for aromas with hints of honey and spices. Very light, watery grain taste with slim hops and some yeast on the tongue in the finish. Looks great, smells pretty nice but not much after that.

Cette bière sent bizarre ;-( On distingue évidemment l’alcool, le toffee, les fruits, les bonbons et un truc médicamenteux... C’est liquoreux et on goûte le houblon frais.

Bottle: Poured a hazy bright golden color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus hops notes with some sweet honey notes and light fruity ester is pleasant enough. Taste is also dominated by some medium citrus notes offset by some sweet honey notes with light fruity ester and a solid malt backbone. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not bad but lacking a bit of cohesion and I would probably drop the honey so to highlight the hops and yeast a bit more.

Hazy copper and amber coloured body with a muddied bronze tint and a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of yeast, bananas, cloves, grass, herbs and the slightest touch of hops - this definitely has some belgian yeast in the mix. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive belgian characteristics of yeast, cloves, spice, herbs, bananas and even bubble gum with a kick of bitter grassy and herbal hops finishing it out. Aftertaste shows a good deal of hops with a nice kick of bitterness and the pungent yeast qualities of the strain with a bit of dry herbal notes. Overall, I wasn’t expecting much from this, and after seeing the ratings, I was expecting even less. That said, if you ripped this label up and put a ’Stone’ Canadian-Belgian IPA screenprint on this, it would have great ratings. It was a solid beer that I am happy I brought back to the states - nice to sample - fresh, too! I sampled this 341 mL bottle purchased from Au Coin Duluth in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on 20-September-2014 for CA$2,59 sampled at home in Washington on 01-November-2014 just six weeks after the purchase.

Sample at Atwater Market. My least favorite of the three, not sure if it is because I am not that big a fan of the style or if it wasn’t as nice as the others. This just came across as too average.

Sample at Atwater Market. The Trait caree is solid though unexceptional blond ale.
