Established in 1536
Generation.

Bottle from Geers. Clear brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of smoked sausage, bacon, wood, bonfire, BBQ herbs, garlic even, wholemeal bread. Taste has sweetish raisin & red apple in a bready, toasty malt body, herbal with meaty-smokey notes. Soft herbal hoppy finish, more smoke & wood. Light to medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Past its best, unfortunately, still enjoyable but I cannot wait to have this again sometime in Bamberg.

On tap at the brewery, Bamberg, Thursday 24th March 2022, I also had Ozzo Bussco or whatever it's called, Loz had Schnitzel. Pours almost chestnut in colour, with a ruby glint, good clarity, off white head. Light smoked sausage notes. Chewy in the mouth, toffee, molasses, a little smoked meat, bready, some caramel. This is a great beer, a little bit sweet but otherwise few flaws.

Smell slightly sour, slightly smoke. Grass. Rural. Fresh and crisp. Front heavy, chewy aftertaste. Nice.

Light hazy golden colour, white foam. Bready, some fruity notes, hoppy bitter finish. Well balanced, light sweet, bitter and easy drinkable. Great Kellerbier. Thanks Frank!

Red black, at least in candle light. Not really smoky. Soft mouthfeel, nicely carbonated. Round. Could be a tad more hoppy. Just a tad. Profits from good music and good company. Good doggo a plus. Name was Clooney.

On tap at HopDog. Slightly hazy brown, moderate head, nose is almost like a peated whisky, fantastic. Super smooth flavor, big mouthfeel with lots of brown sugar caramel, massive smoked flavor that blends perfectly with the whole package. Almost equals their Bock beer! Bring it on, more please.

Bottle @Luppolo Station in Rome-Italy, thanks Mortlach. Pours a clear amber color with an irregular ivory gassy foam. Nose: honey and Smokey, speck. Mouth is perfectly clean, full while mirroring the nose character. The finish is sparkling and bitter-ish.

500ml bottle. Slightly milky, dark yellow-ish, golden colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Spicy, minimally bready malty and spicy hoppy aroma, hints of salami, bacon, mild mustard, unspecific fruity, grassy and herbal overtones, whiffs of protein. Taste is spicy and minimally bready malty, mildly bitter, herbal-grassy-spicy hoppy, subtle fruitiness, hints of salami, protein, unripe apple, clear apple juice, a touch of mild mustard, subtle residual sweetness. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Well crafted, superbly balanced, full of subtleties, extraordinarily drinkable - very good!
