Bottle. Pours hazy dark caramel, with an enormous head. Aroma is toffee, caramel as well as tropical fruits, with peach and orange. Full body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with yeast and grain, and a lot of hops adding sharp bitter citrus to the yeast, giving a long almost astringent fruity finish.

11/01/2013 La Tana (handpump). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma beige abbastanza abbondante e persistente. Naso da porter, tostato, con note di luppolo ben evidenti. In bocca è più simile a una robust porter con amaro più spinto che non a una cascadian dark ale, malti tostati, finale luppolato con leggera sapidità. Corpo medio, carbonazione leggera. Non male, ma manca di personalità.

Pours golden amber with a very small head.Nose shows over-ripe pears, sweet confectionery notes, doughy bready characters and soft floral hops. The doughy note transfers through as a flavour unfortunately. Some of the fruit remains too. A bit of booze in the plain finish along with some sharp bitterness.Could use more carbonation.
