Cloudy light amber color with generous head. The aroma of citrusy hops is accompanied by some apricot jam and some yeast. The flavor shows too much cereals character and yeast; the mouthfeel is affected by the high carbonation; the final is herbal and even deeper in the yeast.
Could be a good beer, but not filtered enough, unclean.

Courtesy of Jesper; 3½ years old, bottle #31
brewed 19/03/09, bottled 19/10/09, rebottled 25/11/11
Huge gusher. It pours a cloudy golden color. The aroma is a bit malty and fruity, but there is also some rubber and vegetables. Good body; simple malt flavor, but nice fruity touch that is similar to muscat grape; too much carbonation; low bitterness.
Messy.

Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Originale e ben riuscita, gran bella birra.

Pours hazy amber with a lasting head.Nose shows Belgian phenols, herbal and spicy notes, sweet light malt and floral hops.Very bold flavours, with sweet malt dominating before the sharp piny hops and alcohol take over. The phenols add some depth.Body feels thick. Not enough carbonation.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a modest but fine beige head that laces well. Aroma of leather, prunes, raisins, figs, licorice, chocolate. Rich, sweet and boozy with dried fruit, dark caramel, only a little chocolate, licorice/ anise. Dries out a little at the end, more than enough to avoid being cloying. Slightly syrupy with enough carbonation to lighten it. Good.

Bottle with a label that made me feel underdressed, 11C. Pale amber with a large dense cream head. Vibrant aroma of apricot, peach, dough, spices, flowers, lime leaves. Bittersweet with firm bitterness kicking in straight away. Fruity, dough, slight tartness. Dryish bitter finish with lingering spices and citrus peel. More saison than IPA IMHO (certainly moreso than the Nøgne Ø / Bridge Road India Saison). Anyway, a really joyous beer. [4.0] Growler. Oh, where’d it go? Heavier on the palate, sweetness and bitterness much more prominent. Nimbler in the bottle with spices and tartness playing a much bigger role. Much more IPA-like - and still pretty good, but more like 3.6. Leaving rating as per bottle.

Pours amber with a lasting head.Nose shows floral, grassy, spicy and herbal hops along with some Belgian-like spicy phenols. Some light malt underneath provideding some sweetness.Similar flavours in terms of hops, big spicy and herbal notes. The Belgian notes are still there too, giving it a saison character. Some sweet clean malt underneath followed by an assertive bitterness.Nice moderately-high carbonation.Pretty solid stuff.

Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Un po’ fiacca, mi piacerebbe riassaggiarla.
