Bottle with 4.5% ABV. Pale yellow, hazy, huge dense rocky white head. Excellent retention. Thick lacing. Nose is wheaty, yeasty, spicy, phenolic. Light body. Oily texture. The taste is similar to the aroma. Semi-dry, light bitterness, moderate spiciness. Medium long hoppy & wheaty finish. Pleasant indeed.

Vintage 2013. Series number 05852.

28 January 2016. 7/3/6/3/11=3. Pours dark brown with a moderate, off-white, foamy head. The aroma contains caramel, sugar, dark fruits, some bread, syrup, Taste is medium sweet and stays in the long finish. Medium to light body but quite oily in texture. A warming beer to have with your food.
9 August 2017. Pours cloudy dark brown with a lasting, small, foamy, tan head. The arome contains lots of licorice (especially in the smell), candy (cane), caramel, brandy/alcohol, malt, chocolate and some spice. It tastes medium to heavy sweet and very light spicy bitter, with a long finish that has warming alcohol and sweet hints. Full body, syrupy texture, fizzy carbonation. The sweetness is overwhelming, yes, but I enjoyed this much more than my previous rating showed.
