Bottle: Poured a deep black color beer with a huge dark head with good retention. Aroma of slightly roasted malt. Taste is comprised of roasted malt with some subtle bitter hops to finish. Body is way too thin and there is a definite lack of coffee in here. Not bad but not close to being great either.

Bottle: Poured a light amber color looking lager with a quite large foamy head with excellent retention. Aroma of strong malt and crisp hops is really enjoyable and doesn’t reek of adjunct. Taste is clearly refreshing while still keeping a strong presence of malt and lightly bitter hops. Very good for a style that is not properly exploited in my surrounding.

A decent enough beer but with an obvious crystal, rather than Munich or Vienna malts, this misses the Ofest mark. Darkish amber color, lacking a respectable head. Aroma caramelly, flavor same, but the stronger juicier melanoidins absent. Clean, easy finish. Well constructed, just call it an amber lager and leave it at that.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color lager with a nice medium foamy head with pretty good retention. Aroma of floral malt and crisp hops is easily detectable and clearly enjoyable. Taste is refreshing with the floral malt and crisp hops being the main attraction here. Nice to get a adjunct-free lager once in a while.

Bottle: Poured a dark copper color ale with a nice bubbly white head with good retention. Aroma of English hops is clearly identifiable. Taste seems to be a bit overpowered by the bitter hops, which is a bit surprising for English pale ale but doesn’t deter this beer from being quite enjoyable. Another BBS/summer beer from Saranac it seems.

Bottle: Poured a nice copper/amber color ale with a medium head with good retention. Aroma of bitter hops is clearly identifiable. Taste is comprised of well balance floral malt and bitter hops. Body is above average without being too full. I guess this is a middle of the road IPA that can be quite enjoyable with BBQ on summer.

Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a nice big brown bubbly head with better then average retention. Aroma is kind of weak with limited sweet malt being distinguishable. Taste is also on the light side with lots of sweet malt, a quite thin body and no discernable bitterness at the end. Nothing to write home about I guess.

Golden beer with a creamy white head. Faint grassy malt in aroma. In mouth, crisp malt, and light hops, more like a non-descript lager. Lighter bodied. Not impressed by this.

Golden ale with a thick collapsable white head. I note lemon candy in aroma. In mouth, crisp malt with a good malt base with lemon notes in final. Medium bodied for a wheat. Not bad.

Golden Pilsener bought at Potsdam IGA, summr pack. Pale yellow colour with a thick foamy white head. Interesting peppery mint aroma, light corn and perfumey notes. In mouth, sweet crisp malt, with peppery hops, a bit grassy but pleasant. Not bad.
