Description
Conceived as a ‘nomadic’ project, The Beak has spent several years creating unfiltered, seasonally-inspired beer with friends at some the greatest UK breweries, including North Brew Co, Partizan, Beavertown, Burning Sky and Northern Monk. We've now laid roots in our hometown of Lewes in East Sussex, where we've built a 15-BBL neighbourhood brewery and taproom with a mixed-fermentation project and weekend street food canteen. Please come and say hi!

Riverside Beer Fest 22. Aroma had stone fruit with a spicy edge. Hazy pale gold. Frothy foamy white head. Light-medium bitter followed by sweet stone fruit. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy-soft carbonation. Long dry finish. Nice but... yeah.

440ml can from the brewery. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, tropical citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, oaty, pineapple, mango, lime, light floral, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours opaque brown to black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, salty liquorice, I definitely understand the pretzel description, umami, charred oak and spice. The taste is dry, rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet character, umami, toasty, charred oak, loads of dark cacao, dark chocolate, savoury, salty pretzel, liquorice, rocky road, nutty, praline and just a touch of that 12% alcohol is present. Finish is bitter - sweet dark chocolate. Fulsome body (bit not too thick) and light to moderate carbonation. Really nice old school imperial stout vibe. Great bitter - sweet balance.
