Description
Heist started brewing from our old site in Clowne, Derbyshire in 2018, building a reputation for a wide variety of beers. The move to Sheffield was always on the cards and now allows us to expand operations with doubled fermentation capacity, an awesome new brewing team and plans to upgrade and replace the older 10HL brewkit in 2022. Although our plans had been severely delayed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we are back at it, brewing flat out to service the new taproom and our fantastic customers across the country.

Draught keg at the brewery tap. Very light gold, hazy, no head. Aroma dominated by guava but there are some light melon notes. Sweet taste, lots of guava but not much else. Finish is more bitter giving a rounded feel. Light chalky body. For the style, very nice.

Keg draught at the brewery. Light yellow/gold, hazy. Little head Dank aroma, impressive for the ABV, with pine and tropical fruits. Sweet taste, lots of dank hop swimming in the beer. Light bitterness right at the finish. Orchard fruits in the aftertaste. Light carbonation. Brilliant for the ABV. An impressively understated beer.

Keg draught at the Heist Taproom, Sheffield. Light brown, clear with a small smattering of off-white head. Clove aroma, other aromatic cooking sspices. Sweet taste with the spiciness to the fore. Not a lot of character otherwise. Some bitterness in the balanced finish. Thin body with medium carbonation. Not great.

Half-pint, tap at Craft Beer Co. - St Mary Axe. Shared with Finn. Opaque orange body, a few patches on the surface, spotty lacing. Canned fruity smell, promising. Mixed taste of apricot, creamy juicy malts, and orange. Drying close, dough fruity. Well bodied. Decent (Aldgate, London 10.02.2023).
