Description
Heist started brewing from our old site in Clowne, Derbyshire in 2018, building a reputation for a wide variety of beers. The move to Sheffield was always on the cards and now allows us to expand operations with doubled fermentation capacity, an awesome new brewing team and plans to upgrade and replace the older 10HL brewkit in 2022. Although our plans had been severely delayed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we are back at it, brewing flat out to service the new taproom and our fantastic customers across the country.

Can at home in Hackney - cheers to Garrold for the trade. Pours unclear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Lightly sweet with pleasant pithy citrus, ripening lemon, pale bread, a few oats. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly juicy citrus to finish, dry pith, peel. Drinkable sauce.

440ml can. Sophie's Beer Store. Does indeed bring to mind the creamy body of a solero with the additional fruity iced outer layer. Moderately sour. Alan Partridge would be all over this.

440ml can Sophie's Beer Store. Pours a misty yellow, frothy white head. Light citrussy lemon aroma. Smooth palate, soft citrussy character, lightly hoppy, a touch tame but has excellent drinkability. Nice.

16ml bottle from brewery as a gift - Deep sanguine red body, no head. Nose is booze heavy, lots of fruit, port wine. Get the raspberries in the taste, liquorice as well, very warm alcohol burn, bit flat and dare I say watery for the ABV. Long berry finish, tangy on the tastebuds.

Clear reddish brown beer, decent head soon fizzes away. Smells of caramel and a little dried fruit. Flavour has dried fruit, caramel, some sweet malt, a light hint of chocolate. Not bad. Has an okay body to it, reasonably warming, perhaps a touch watery in the finish and it's surprisingly mellow for the strength which is commendable but does mean you could do yourself some damage!
