Tap at National Brewery Center, Burton-on-Trent: Clear orange/amber coloured brew with an sweetbitter taste, the first IPA they said me at the musuem. Not so hoppy as his hoppy succesors.

Cask 9 years ago at the Victoria, Birmingham when i checking old photo's i was drinking this beer but apparently never rated it. Good i wrote it down somewhere on paper which i still have. Clear amber colored brew with an thun dry bitter taste and few hints of caramel. Slightly better than John Smith's.

Can next door, 28/12/24. Golden blonde topped with a lasting white head. Nose is pale malts, cereals, toasted grains, light breads. Taste comprises pale malts, herbs, grains, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not terrible as macro loggers go.

Bottle. Pours deep gold. Grain, sulfur, minerally, straw. Not much body. Mostly inoffensive but not particularly nice.

Mmm. Tastes like I'm out in public with a painted green face and my hair in buns.

Clear amber gold with a creamy off-white head. Zero aroma, creamy with no discernible flavour beyond hints of sweet malt. Seems a very popular choice amongst the masses, but I struggle to understand its appeal. (Won't let me score the aroma as zero!)

Typical European lager and Pilsner aroma and flavor. Crisp, spicy, dry finish. Mild sweetness underneath.
