Description
Started brewing under this name in 2016. The site was previously Kemptown Brewery in Brighton. In late 2020 we commissioned our brand new, high quality, steam heated brewery in Worthing, West Sussex. It features a 2000 litre brew kit with four 4000 litre fermenters, an automated canning line and large 5oC cold store meaning we can produce, package and store our beer in the best possible conditions. We are also joined by Cloak and Dagger Brewing, renting space on the site, whose beers are also featured in our taproom.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A hazy straw coloured pour with a finger of white head; grassy aroma; quite hoppy in the mouth with a sweet grainy body; and a pleasantly bitter finish with some fruity hedgerow hops. A rather good pilsner.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Pours a pale straw with minimal transient white head and high carbonation. There’s floral hops in the aroma along with some vague tropical fruits. In the mouth initially there’s a very metallic leaning with grains and corn. This gradually eases to reveal some orange fruitiness – but returns in the bitter finish. This is not a million miles from a macro beer – not for me.

On tap at BrewDog Outpost Tower Hill, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out dry oak and bready malt. Flavour is dry, oaky, and moderately roasty. Real nice oaky character, with a dry roasty finish. Really well-brewed. Excellent.

31/1/2023. Can from Two Brews, Colchester. Pours cloudy pale yellow gold with a large frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, coconut, hints of white grape and banana, husky edge. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, light tartness. Medium body, slightly creamy, average carbonation.

Can at Dad's. He liked it when I bought it. This reminded me of the good old days of Neck Oil - easy drinking and good hop profile. (27/12/22) --- Same conditions. Light haze. Good for the abv. 3.6 to 3.4.

Keg at BD Waterloo, 20/10/22. Black with a good sized khaki covering that veers to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, molasses, herb, spice, dried fruits. Taste comprises chocolate, fruit slice, herb, liquorice, charr, mellow roast, sticky toffee pudding. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising kiss of alcohol. Not bad but lacking depth for the hefty ABV.
