Description
COAST Brewing Company is a family owned craft brewery, on an old Navy base. We make beer we like to drink, simple and done well. We believe in choice organic and local ingredients. But it's not just about being organic, it's a certain mind set of considering the environment in everything we do. In fact, we're not certified organic and have no plans to be-we do it because we believe it's the right thing. All of our ingredients are listed including which are organic. Welcome and thanks for your continued support!

Pitch-perfect Pale Ale, with a monstrous herbal funky-hop insanity that is unmistakably Simcoe. Grainy, thick malt undertone sets a formidable base on which the hops go berzerk, yet the ABV stays at a sobriety-friendly level. Yeah, I was sipping it from a plastic cup, but fuck off. I know good when I taste it. Honorable mention to Hom’s Bistro Burger-- holy lord that was tasty.

Bottle thanks to blutt59. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a small, but lasting white head. Aromas are hop forward, citrusy, spicy, resin, tangerine, and grapefruit. Light toasted malt. Flavors are equally hop forward with notes of citrus, tangerine, grapefruit and a bit of a grassy dry hop character. Lively bubbles, moderately dry, with a bit of a lasting bitterness.

Bottle shared by n8h at Slutfest 3, Richmond, VA, 4/21/12. Pours a clear copper color with a thin frothy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of herbal, salty notes, toffee, vanilla and whisky. The taste is toffee, raisin, soy, leafy hops, whisky, prunes. Medium-full bodied with some booze. Nice.
