Cask at the brewepub. Golden color light haze stable white head. Flavors of apple, light citrus, wheat and earthy yeast. Light body, smooth texture soft cask carbonation, a raw feel, anonymous taste, rather flat. Aftertaste of apple and basement.

Tap @ The Petersfield, Cambridge. Gluten Free. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are nice grassy hops, fruits, flowers and malt. Nice bitter finish.

Keg at the brewpub. A dark brown black coloured pour with a lasting creamy tan head . Aroma is dry roast, burnt milk, creamy coffee. Palate is medium bodied, highish carbonation, little creamy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, dusty roast, little creme caramel. Little thin in the finish. Ok.

Cask at the brewpub. A copper reddy amber coloured pour with a lasting beige head. Aroma is hay, dry stale bread, little bark. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty brown bread, woody malts, Rye. Palate is semi sweet, little lifeless. Little jammy fruits in the finish.

Handpull cask at the Cambridge Brewhouse. Light to mid-gold, clear with a touch of visible natural carbonation and a small film of uneven white head which leaves quite a lot of lacing. Aroma is reasonably grainy/malty without a lot of hop. Taste picks up a bit: there’s a strong hop bitterness alongside the sweet heady malt, and the back-of-the-tongue bitterness increases to the refreshing finish. Apricot and citrus peel along with biscuity malt in the aftertaste. Not perfect by any means but it’s got character and it certainly picks up halfway through the sip.
