Gravity cask at Cambridge Winter Ales Festival. Dark brown, flat as a pancake. Chocolate fudge aroma with a hint of crystal malt. Full sweet chocolate taste. Short finish. Medium body but the lack of any carbonation detracts from the mouthfeel. Reasonable.

On tap at the Three Horse Shoes, Waddington. Dark golden colour with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, and citrus fruit. Taste mid bitterness and a bitter finish.

Cask at Cambridge Brewhouse on 11th June 2014. Sepia brown to black with thin tan ring-and-film. Rich roasty aroma with some sweet caramel. Burnt, roast malts in-mouth with coffee notes. Lingering roast and bitter finish with some leafy herb notes. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body.

Cask at Cambridge Brewhouse on 11th June 2014. Cloudy amber with thin white ring and film plus lacing. Rich citrus aroma with savoury nuttiness. Tangy citrus liquid with tart berries and maltiness. Finish is somewhat an anticlimax. Light mouthfeel with some zing and medium body.

Cask at Cambridge Brewhouse on 11th June 2014. Clear copper with almost no head or lacing. Fruity aroma with berries and grassy hoppiness. Hoppy in-mouth with leafy grassiness and berry fruits. Bitterness at the core of a bittersweet finish; mouthfeel and body both light.

Cask from Brew House, Cambridge, Sunday 27th April 2014 Served in a nice dimpled little half pint mug, I love them :-) Gold in colour but hazy. A little wheaty from the off but a touch too sweet. The aftertase is a little harsh with the sweetness fading. Beerwise it is ok, for a wheat ale mmhh.. barely ok, not that refreshing and not that true to style. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Cask at the Cambridge Brew House, Cambridge. Golden Amber and a bit hazy. Gorgeous smell: peaches, grapefruit, pine and hay. Taste is bittersweet moving to a very bitter aftertaste. Slightly thin palette. Comparable in ways to SNPA but less depth likely due to the lower ABV. A very well composed sessionable pint which works in cask condition.

Cask at the Cambridge Brew House. It pours hazy amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is wood, caramel, earth, leather and a touch of spice. The taste is wood, caramel, earth, leather, nut and decent bitterness with a dry finish Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent enough bitter.

Cask at the source. It pours hazy golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is sweet dough, grain, light caramel, cereal and toast. The taste is grainy, hay, decent bitterness, light toast, grapefruit, pepper and lemon with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. I don’t the grainy mouth-feel. Fairly so-so.
