Bottle @ LCRBM 08: Poured a thick black color with a beige to brown color head. The aroma is roasted malts, fermented fruit, spice, and chocolate. Taste was simply devine with a chocolate and roasted malt, there is a nice mix of alcohol and fruits. These off set the sweet and make it very well balanced and tasty for sure.

LCRBM08: 75 cL bottle, courtesy of Menno. Pours pitch black and with a dense chocolate brown head. Aroma is smooth and roasted, chocolate, wineous and spiced, very inviting aroma. Smooth and wineous flavoured to a dense roasted malt base with notes of chocolate on the back of the tongue. Nicely decending into the finish with a mild warmth and smoothness. btw: makes a fantastic blend with 3 Fonteinen Hommage :)

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a hazy, copper body with a nice beige head. Sugary, caramel nose with some beef-stock. Grains and fruityness too. The flavor is sugary and sweet, with caramel and roasted malt notes. Quite fruity, and with a grainy touch. Full-bodied and effervescent, slightly sticky and warming. A pleasing, sweet, delicious and warming beer, challenging the styles. (080823)

Bottle @ LCRBM 08: Poured a dark black brown with a thin tan color head. The aroma is liquorice, dark fruits, and coffee. The taste is sweet with fruits and liquorice, some bitter spices in the finish that create a warming along with the alcohol.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a black body under a nice tan head leaving lacings. Smoke, coffee and a little bonfire-like sourness in the aroma. Full-bodied and sweet in the mouth, with smoke, coffee and burnt malt. Really silky. The finish has bonfire-like sourness and coffee in the finish. The smoke isn’t very dominant in the beer, probably due to the dark malts. Very nice. Rating: 7-5-8-5-16-4.1. 080823
Bottle, 75cl corked. A clear, ruby brown beer with a creamy, finger-thick beige head sitting on top. Smoked, tared and roasted nose, with the flavor following pretty much the same pattern. Some coffee and sourness as well in the mouth. Medium to full-bodied, dry and nicely carbonated. Roasted finish with some bitterness. There seems to be a milky sourness in this one, can’t remember to have tasted that before. Still a nice beer though. 090724

Bottle @ LCRBM 08: Poured a orange with off white head. The aroma is strong sweet fruit and malts. The taste continues sweet with fruits mostly citrus and sugar. For the high alcohol percentage you can’t feel it.

Bottle @ LCRBM 08: Poured a red to pink with a soft pink color head. Aroma was sour berries, mostly cherry. The taste was sweet and sugary berries, hasn’t fully developed into the sour lambic. This was great in my eyes since I am not much of a lambic fan.

Small rim left, over hazy yellow-ochtre beer. Spicy nose, like an old Christmas wreath with dried pine, cypress & herbs. And dry hops. Citrussy, and yet spiced hops. Very leafy-flowery flavourprofile. Medium bodied at best. Cyano-link, like almonds, in the aftertaste. Strange, very fine nose, but finishing rather unhappy on the palate.

Small yellowish head, gone in seconds over fully hazy brown beer with a yellow & purple shine. Sweet nose, raisins, nuts, fusels. Old nuts, old bread, sweet flavours with very little bitterness whatever. Like oxydized, but not oxydized. In the same vein, I do not find any smoked/phenolic notes. Light to medium bodied, but very slick. A bit dull, not very impressive, liked the other Molen Bocks more.
