Small yellow-brown head over near-black beer. Fully estery, alcohol, brandy and lots of vanilla. Vanilla returning strong in the mouth, with sweet brandy, some liquorice, dark- and milkchocolate. Despite all these major flavours out in force, it keeps a really excellent balance. Full bodied, of course, with a viscous and creamy MF to boot. Beautiful beer - just beautiful.

Small off-white rim over red-brown, dark cognac colour. Very fruity nose, alcohol obvious, dark berries aromas. Sweet taste (certainly for a porter), with liquorice, fusels, herbs like rosemary. Complex, yet well-balanced. Ends on liquorice mixed with walnut. Well-bodied, lots of alcoholwarming, slick. Nice, if sweet-alcoholic porter.

Hazy red-cyclamen colour under small pinkish rim. Sweet cherries, cookie malts. Sweetish, soft-chewing bonbons with sweet cherry flavour. Like a diluted sweet syrup. Cherries, morellen - OK. But Lambic - no way!

Dense beige-crème head over unclear, orange-amber beer. Fusels, alcohol, wet dog, citruspeel, cookie malts. Alcohol dominating the taste, slight acidity upon the underbuild; flavours as from alcohol and sugar-preserved citrus slices. Very thick, creamy MF, well-bodied, slick. Nice one, but carefully sipping required, even when it is remarakably discreet for a 15% ABV beer.

Bottled. Very cloudy murky brown color, medium head. Aroma of yeast, hop, bit spicy, some citrus. Reasonably bitter taste, slight yeasty, bit sweet. Ok.

Bottle at the Angry Fist of Santa tasting at Chris_o’s. Cloudy gold, thick beige head. It’s a pretty good tripel with excellent intensity. Great flavours. Good fruit, tangerine. Great hop, really lovely sherberty hop. Good beer.

On Draught, De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Orangey yellow with a thin white head. Plenty of amarillo hop lurking in the nose with some caramel malt. Thickish mouth feel. Nice citrus flavours and pretty darn good.

Bottle, from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Drunk this to kick start my hols in Crete, and what a belter it was. Hazy orange colour with a creamy off white head. Nice lace. Beautiful fruit and hop in the nose. Just knew this was going to kick ass before my lips touched the glass. Wonderful flavour with loads of hop/ citrus/tropical fruit. All balanced perfectly with some caramel maltiness. A joy to drink. Would never have guessed the ABV on this- alcohol masked superbly. Well up there with the best I’ve had. Would love a steady supply of this.

33cl Bottle bought at the brewery. Hazy golden/orange colour, creamy white head. Aroma of hops, resin and malts. Flavour is of American hops, resin and slightly malty. A bit less thin than de Molen Engels. Spicy bitter finish. A bit thin and dry mouthfeel. Very nice low ABV beer though.

Dark ruby, with a frothy, lasting lace - the aroma does not reveal much, just some lactose sweetness, some chocolate character, and the fainest bit of roastiness - I couldn’t pick up any apparent smoke in the nose or the flavor - fairly creamy in the mouth, with a touch of vanilla and some blueberry-like flavor, chocolate, plum - most of these characteristics only show up as it warms, but so does some spicy alcohol warmth - a decent stout, but not worth the price.
