Pours a cloudy dark orange with a small beige head. Surprising aroma of citrus, some apple, coriander, some more spices. Has a sweetness to it, but also sour notes. Somewhat wine-like. I did not expect this at all from a Tripel.

Pours a hazy orange/golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, hops. Medium bitterness and a little sourness. Quite hoppy/citrussy for an English Bitter. Nothing stellar, just a nice refreshing beer.

Pours a frightening black void with a small brown head. Aroma of plum, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, raisins, bourbon. Thick oily mouthfeel. I’ve had better BA’s, but still this is a great brew.

Pours a pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, plum, licorice, hops. There is a welcome element of smoke to this brew. For a 10% ABV the flavour is only slightly boozy. Fantastic Stout by one of the two best Dutch breweries.

Pours a hazy amber with a huge white head that launches itself at you at warp speed. Aroma of pine, spices, herbs, peppers, old coffee, a bit hoppy. Weird brew... Even though I probably won’t drink this again very soon this is a nice little experiment which I enjoyed. I love being surprised by beers like this one.

Pours a disturbing black with a small tan head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruits, toffee, some coffee. Lots of roasted malts, vanilla and coffee in the aftertaste. A touch of smoked also to this wonderful brew.

Pours a black colour with a small brown head that disappears quickly. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel toffee, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, liquorice, bit of smoke. Falvour is malty, coffee, light sweetness. Alcohol is surprisingly well-hidden. Another winner from De Molen.

Pours a pitch black with no head to speak of. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, coffee, dark chocolate, more coffee. Flavour is sweet mocha, dark chocolate. Very nice coffee stout. However, after reading about the cruelty behind the Kopi Loewak coffee, I am glad De Molen chose to stop brewing this beer.

Pours a hazy dark amber colour with no head. Complex aroma of dried fruits, apricot, wood, coriander. Like drinking a fruit basket. Flavour is fruity sourness, some warming alcohol. Very surprising.
