Aroma of ripe fruits, apple, orange peel, vinegar, oak, vanilla. Flavour is tart fruit, strong fruity sweetness, some warming alcohol. Finishes tart and dry. Peculiar but good.

Aroma of roasted malts, bourbon, oak, sweet vanilla, berries, brown sugar, some chocolate. Flavour is quite sweet, syrupy and vanilla. This is a Barleywine. Being more of a fan of Imperial Stouts than Barleywines, I was a little disappointed with this one.

Aroma of overripe fruits, sweet apricot, caramel, wood, bourbon, toffee, vanilla. Flavour is massive sweetness. Body is thick, mouthfeel is sticky. Alcohol is surprisingly well-hidden for a 16% brew. The aroma is impressive, but the flavour is a bit too sweet for my taste.

Aroma of roasted malts, smoked ham, light chocolate, light coffee, just a little peppery. Flavour is roasty and smoked, thankfully devoid of sweetness, with a little bitterness in the finish. Wonderfully smooth and drinkable Smoked Beer.

Aroma of dark malt, bourbon, chocolate, subtle smoke, some coffee, peat, wood. Flavour is peaty, chocolate, malty, bourbon, medium to heavy sweet, but within the boundaries. Hides its alcohol remarkably well, I can’t believe this is 11%. Complex and balanced, wonderful beer and one of the finest from De Molen.

Aroma of roasted malts, tart fruit, spicy yeast, chocolate, a bit peppery. Flavour is roasty, a bit sweet and light tart. Carbonation is pretty high. Quite nice Black Saison, I wasn’t sold on the style but this one proves it can be done.

Aroma of mostly ginger, but also citrus and hops. Flavour is the same, ginger and citrus, with a moderate to medium bitter finish. Not a fan of ginger, but this beer is okay.

Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee. Flavour is roasty, coffee, with a bitter finish. Body is a bit light. Not standout in any way, simply a very quaffable Porter that I wouldn’t mind drinking again.

Aroma of sweet malts, vegetables, some herbal notes. Flavour is medium to heavy malty cloying sweetness, with a light to moderate bittersweet finish. Body is quite alright. However, I found the sweetness a bit much. One of my least favourite De Molen beers to date.
