375ml bottle picked up at Supermarket Liquor in CO
Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head, some lacing. Aroma of oak, brett, coriander. Taste is wheat, tart citrus, woody, salty with a dry finish
I really like this, the mouthfeel is a little thin but a great tasting beer. But WTH is up with the wax job? Maybe it is marketing, because with these lined up on the shelves they are easy to pick out. The worst waxed bottles I’ve seen, and that includes New Glarus.

750mL bottle at Uber Tavern. Clear gold color, no head. Melony acetic sour beer but not strong. A doable sour, especially for this acetic brewery. Its doable but not refined.

Bottle at home. Pours murky plum brown. Nose is dark fruits and vinegar, tastes of balsamic, raisins, honey, mustard seed, cherry, lacto, and light tobacco. Fairly tart and viscous.

12 oz waxed bottle pour. Pours a hazy yellow color. Not much head, though this beer exploded out of the bottle. Sour lemon aroma. Sour lemon fruit flavor with some straw like flavor and a bit of popcorn kernel. Very interesting beer. Very sour, which I love. Great beer.

GABF 2014. Cucumber aroma is prominent. More cucumber in the flavor. Tons of carbonation, some light spice. A very mellow, easy to drink beer that i think would go well with a hot summer afternoon.

GABF 2014. This is similar to the Rare Barrel beer I had a few minutes with apricot. Good aroma for a sour, with brett in the aroma. Flavor has brett dryness and lacto sourness; not as much apricot as the Rare Barrel beer, but still fruit flavor. Good.

From notes at last week’s Trinity tasting. Aroma has a nice tropical fruit and pineapple note. Light citrus and faint malt. Hints of phenolcis with light pine resin hop character. Pours a cloudy, pale golden orange. Medium white head with good retention and lacing. Flavor has a nice light tartness to it. Medium light tropical fruit with light stone fruit. Moderate citrus and light pine. Faint phenolics and light malt notes. Moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an interesting beer with a nice pine resin hop character. Citrus notes are nice and work well with the hops and phenolics.

From notes taken at last week’s Trinity tasting. Aroma has a nice stone fruit and tropical fruit hop and yeast character. The least phenolics and poopiness of the swingline series. Medium light citrus and light malt character. Pours a pale, cloudy, golden straw color with a small white head with decent lacing. Flavor is slightly sweet with moderate tropical fruit and light stone fruit. Pineapple and mango are most prevalent. Medium bitterness, light malt notes and moderate citrus flavors. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, my favorite of the series. No phenolic character or poopiness with loads of tropical fruit and stone fruit form the yeast and hops.

Notes from a tasting. Poured from a bottle. Aroma has a lot of citrus zest with some lighter tropical fruit. Light malt notes and light poopiness. This was the most tangerine forward of the series. Pours a pale yellow gold, slightly cloudy. Medium head and good retention with moderate lacing. Flavor has a lot of citrus with light tropical fruit. Medium light phenolics with light malt character and faint poopiness. Hints of stone fruit as well. Moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, another decent beer in the series and the most tangerine forward of the bunch. I feel like none of these beers are very bitter though. Again, a bit of an odd phenolic character that should not be in IPAs.
