Bottle from Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours a dark brown with a creamy beige/tan head. Aroma is arguably nutty dark roast malt. Med body/coarse carbonation. Flavor is fairly dry nutty brown. Certainly not sweet. Interesting.

Bottle from Supermarket Liquors in Fort Collins, CO. Pours very dark and hazy amber with a transient beige head. Guessing this is oak chip rather than used barrel. Aroma is raw oak and dark fruit. Full bodied with creamy/frothy carbonation. Flavor is brown sugar, dark fruit and wood/oak. Nice balance of malt by oak. Drinks nicely.

Bottle shared by Brian, thanks! Poured a slightly hazy dark brown with a brown head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma was full of molasses, caramel and maple notes with some backing bourbon and raisin. Flavor was similar with sweet grains, caramel, molasses, maple and raisin all coming out but never really coming together as much as I would have liked.

Bottle from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove Nr Wantage, Oxon, very kindly dropped off to my work by Peter (owner of Pitstop brewery and Manager of Garage) consumed at campervan 19.09.10 at Callowtop campsite, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Pours almost ruby red in colour with a white head, this looks fantastic. I find this a bit too sweet if truth be known, loads of Maple syrup, strength a not as evident as I expected, one trick pony but actually after a while better that I initially thought. (Draught at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 7 Aug 2010) Dark brown colour, almost black, with frothy beige head. Roasted, malty, hoppy nose with notes of pine needles and dark bread. Roasted, malty taste with coffee, pine needles, roasted malt and a fairly dry finish with a generous cocoa bitterness. More than medium body, dry, with a solid piny cocoa bitterness. Very nice.
